So Far In Our 99th Season - 2026

The 14Y Theater at 14th Street and 1st Ave, NY, NY

Steve Martin and Edie Brickell’s Bright Star is a sweeping, deeply emotional tale of love, redemption, and hope set against the rich backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Spanning from the 1920s to the 1940s, the story follows literary editor Alice Murphy and a young soldier just home from World War II. When their lives intersect, a chain of events is set in motion that forces Alice to confront her mysterious past. Propelled by an intoxicating, Grammy-nominated bluegrass and folk score, this uplifting journey proves that the truth always has a way of finding its light.

From the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of August: Osage County, The Minutes is a scathing dark comedy that exposes the ugliness behind closely held American narratives. What begins as a routine small-town city council meeting quickly unravels into an explosive mystery about gaslighting, greed and real-world power. Ultimately, Tracy Letts' sharp satire asks a chilling question: what would you do to avoid becoming history’s loser? Join us for an intimate, script-in-hand staged reading that brings this fierce story to life with raw intensity.

In honor of Women’s History Month, performances on March 19 & 20 highlighted both beloved and lesser-known musicals that many audiences might not realize were written by women.
